Austria
The Austria flag consists of three horizontal stripes (red, white, red) of equal size. The colors and design of the flag originated from the Duke Leopold V of Austria. The Duke’s clothing had been splattered with blood all over due to the fierce battle he was fighting in. However, the white stripe comes in when the Duke removes his sword belt to reveal a clear, clean stripe of white.
Belgium
The Belgium flag consists of 3 equal and vertical stripes of the colors black, yellow, and red. The black commonly represents the shield, the yellow represents the lion, and the red represents the lion’s power or its claw/jaw.
