- Europe has been the target of terrorist groups with attacks in places such as France, Germany, and Belgium. Tourists who wish to travel to locations in Europe should be wary when visiting landmarks or populated locations that even include train stations and dinners or avoid going to populated locations especially if it is holiday season
- Tourists, distracted by the popular landmarks and sights of the foreign land, are prime targets to pickpockets and robbers. Be aware of your belongings in populated places and at night. Also keep your belongs secured and in your sight at all times.
- Traveling to a different place also means that there’s a change in food. These food changes that the body may not be used to can also sickness along with food poisoning that can ruin the trip to a new place. Avoid eating food that’s origin is not credible and go eat in restaurants with positive feedback. Also do a little research about the food available in the country to have a little insight on what to eat or not to eat beforehand.
- Scamming is a huge issue for tourists. People in the area may trick and scam others who are clueless to their scams as they may mask themselves with the appearance of providing a positive and helpful service. Tourists and foreigners are prime targets to these scammers as tourists are not very well acquainted to the area and are more easily swayed. These scams can include charging more money to get from place to place on taxis.
- Tourists tend to visit big attractions and popular places within the country and popular places mean that the location is very crowded. Tourists need to be aware of where they walk to avoid being hit or run into cars, carts, buses, or people. The same goes for people who are traveling by car instead of foot. Car accidents are prone to happen due to unawareness and the chances of car accidents happening are also higher in crowded places with crossing people and places where the driver is not used to driving on.
